Professional photographers from all over Atlanta often visit Starrs Mill Park. The excellent scenery makes for the perfect backdrop for photography projects.
There are several walking areas in and around the lake and creek area below the falls. Most of the area below the falls is shallow enough to be waded in, and makes for a excellent spot for kids to play in the water.
Starrs Mill was once a working mill, but is now out of service with mere remnants remaining.
There are only a handful of picnic tables, but this small park is rarely crowded to any extent, and there are no grills, so if you plan a cookout, you will need to bring your own grill.
The park closes at 6:00 EDT, and 8:00 DST
This park is just minutes from the Line Creek hiking trails, and being just minutes from Peachtree City, Ga. There are several unique dining and shopping opportunities which makes this a excellent add on for just spending the day in and around Peachtree City, Ga.
