Fishermans Catch

atlanta datingThere’s nothing real spectacular about this restaurants atmosphere, nothing overly romantic, but the main reason I have put it on this website is because the food is awesome. There is a Red Lobster right down the street, and a Joes Crab Shack also right down the street, but this place has managed with excellent food, and outstanding service to compete and be here longer than the big boys combined. This restaurant has been here for over 20 years, and is family owned.

The feel is that of a true little fishing village café, while not feeling contrived. Everything here is original down to the staff that is made up of part family, and part should be family because they have been here forever. You can get your seafood fried or baked, with choices ranging from catfish, to flounder, and oysters to clams.  The tea is crisp fresh and sweet, and the hushpuppies have the perfect tad of sweetness that us Southern folks love. Sides range from vegetables, to fresh crisp salads, to a fresh baked potato or French fries and more.

atlanta datingThe booth seating areas and dim lighting does give a real good feel of privacy, and the atmosphere for the most part is low key and quiet allowing for a good place for conversation. There is a lot of old seaside village memorabilia lining the walls giving way to that true fisherman’s village diner, and you can tell each piece has been personally hand picked.
